Crestview Resources is one of the oldest and most broad reaching of the Crestview Group of Companies. Formed in 1996 and having family roots dating to 1917 in the Texas oil and gas industry, Crestview Resources began primarily as a working interest owner in various conventional Oil and Gas plays in Texas. In 2000 Crestview Resources, in partnership with Cactus Energy (another family owned entity) came together to create Conglomerate Gas. Through Conglomerate Gas, Crestview Resources successfully became one of the premier land acquisition and production companies in the discovery of the Barnett Shale.

Crestview Resources has been partners with Antero Resources, Exxon Mobil, Range Resources, Devon, Chesapeake Energy in the early days of the Barnett and after the successful divestitures, still holds significant acreage in the Barnett with Chesapeake Energy, Exxon Mobil, and Range Resources.

From being a first mover in the Barnett Shale, Crestview Resources has expanded significantly in the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) space utilizing its vast knowledge and databases regarding shale production in all of the major shale plays in the United States. Our M&A activities are augmented and enhanced by our 95 year history of experience in the US oil and gas industry. As a result, we have an extensive network of relationships among the Independent and privately-owned oil and gas companies in the US.

Today Crestview Resources is a well respected advisor to many multinational firms seeking to acquire shale assets in the US and South America.
